Young Achievers

Friday 12th December

Here I am at the Derbyshire Young Achievers Awards. All the children had been nominated for their great achievements for different reasons.

There were nearly 100 children aged 4-18 receiving awards, and the clowns and fire eaters kept us all entertained.

This is Gareth Jones from ITV's How2 programme, he presented the awards.

Everyone had their own story to tell...

...some were about bravery ...

...some were about kindness...

...and some about sport and academic achievement. All the awards were well deserved, and I'm sure the youngsters will have lots of adventures, and achieve even greater things in the future.
